The waterfall Kock-kol, astonishing by its magic beauty nature creation is the largest waterfalls in Kazakhstan and Altai. It is 60 meters high. It is formed by little mountain river Bolshoy Kock-kol. The 10 meters wide water stream rushes down from the plumb wall with the deafening crash.
In the north-east oblast it represents one of the most attractive (along with the massif of Belukha mountain) objects of cognitive tourism.
Besides the esthetic and cognitive value, the canyon of this sector may represent practical interest for climatic resort organization. The matter is that the climate of river vales having similar waterfalls, possesses healing property.

Millions of the scattering splashes damp the air and enrich it with gaseous ions. the hydro air ionization effect is well known and successfully used in some regions of Russia, for example at Arshan resort in Baikal surroundings.

the waterfall is located at the remoted place which has no constant inhabitants. Above it, (with stream of the river) there are remnants of the large village which existed during the Second World War years. It was named Nizhny Lager and its settlers worked at Kick-kol tungsten-molybdenum deposit which is still exploited.
This place is very popular among the tourists. Every yearabout 5-7 thousand people stop here for a few days, making radial routes to Berelsky glacier, Upper Camp of the Kock-kol mine, and to the waterfall. According to verbal communication of the tourists there are china letters and pictures on the rocks of the waterfall Kock-kol.
